For the last few weeks we've discussed the oxidizer application; staying safe, saving energy, cutting costs, even taking a closer look at it in action, here & here. Let's end with a look at an analyzer that will give you the best results.
In order to be safe & withstand this particularly harsh environment, the analyzer should:
- Measure a wide range of chemicals accurately
- Have a very fast response time
- Be fully heated
- Be constructed of strong materials
- Have continuous, real-time readings
When using oxidizers, whether they be Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTO’s), Catalytic or Recuperative oxidizers, there’s an opportunity to save energy and fuel costs. Instead of heating up excess ventilation air in the oxidizer to its process temperatures, a Flammability Analyzer like the PrevEx, can be added to help put more solvent into the oxidizer. This will reduce the amount of fresh air needed to be heated, which will provide a substantial cost savings. Most importantly, measuring flammability will keep you safe; preventing fires, explosions, or catalyst destruction.
