August marks a special time on our company calendar. It was this month in 1969 that our great company was founded.
Our founding father, Mr. Schaeffer, had a vision all those years ago, to make the manufacturing world a safer place. He was dedicated to achieving this through the most basic of concepts; the quality and performance of his product and customer satisfaction.
The company began right in the basement of his home, where he designed and developed, along with his business partner, our first products. They handled all the functions of the company - production, engineering, accounting, marketing and sales…USA innovation hard at work.
All our company has achieved today is owed to those great minds. Nurturing other like-minded engineers & scientists is imperative to keeping our country competitive and advancing into the future.
Founded in 1901, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is a non-regulatory federal agency within the U.S. Department of Commerce, who’s “mission is to promote U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness by advancing measurement science, standards, and technology in ways that enhance economic security and improve our quality of life.”
That was certainly promoted 45 years ago in that basement in New Jersey. Imagine just what is waiting to be discovered throughout the many homes, schools, and businesses of our great country.
