When the appropriate analyzer is installed on your oxidizer, energy efficiencies increase, productivity can be optimized and energy saved.
Installed at the outlet of the oxidizer, ensures that emission levels are not exceeded into the atmosphere. Futhermore, by monitoring at the inlet AND outlet of the oxidizer, hydrocarbons can be measured and compared before and after processing, indicating efficiency.
The fuel value of VOC's present in the air stream, flowing through a modern thermal oxidizer or incinerator, can greatly reduce the consumption of natural gas as the primary fuel source. Some oxidizers even become self-sustaining, with VOC streams as lean as 5% LFL. These VOC emissions can be tracked by continuously monitoring the oxidizer, even on an hourly basis. This provides real‐time data of annual emissions and helps to understand short term emission limits.
This allows for an accurate indication of emissions, which means more flexibility in making changes to the application's process. For example, if the readings prove the oxidizer is operating effectively and abating the VOCs at lower temperatures, the destruction efficiency rating could be reduced.
